The service

Meanings Awake is a reader for DRM-free EPUB files, with AI-assisted explanations, definitions, rewording, translation, summaries, questions, citations, spoiler controls, and optional outside research. Features may evolve, but paid billing intervals do not select different answer quality.

Operator and billing

Meanings Awake is the product brand of a digital reading service operated by Leonardo Pereira do Vale Coelho, an individual based in Brazil. Questions about the product, access, or these terms may be sent to support.meaningsawake@gmail.com.

Paddle is the authorized reseller and merchant of record for paid subscriptions. Paddle processes orders, payments, taxes, invoices, subscription billing, and eligible refunds. A purchase is also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms presented at checkout.

Your account

You must use a supported Sign in with ChatGPT account and keep access to it secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must not attempt to access another customer's library, circumvent usage limits, scrape the service, or disrupt its operation.

The service is not directed to children under 13. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age or parental authorization, you must meet that requirement before using the service.

Your books and content

You retain your rights in material you upload. You grant the service limited permission to store, extract, index, retrieve, and process that material only as needed to provide and secure the service. Upload only DRM-free material you own or are otherwise entitled to use.

Do not upload unlawful material, malware, or content that violates another person's rights. Meanings Awake may remove material or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, or legal obligations.

Trial, plans, and billing

The card-required trial lasts seven days and includes up to 10 AI credits. Using all 10 credits early pauses AI access but does not cancel the scheduled conversion. Unless canceled before the trial ends, it converts to the selected monthly or annual paid plan. Prices, billing frequency, and applicable taxes are shown before checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the customer billing portal.

Paid plans include 40 AI credits per monthly usage period and up to 20 books. Annual members receive the same monthly credit reset. Every Tutor request uses one credit, including when separately cited outside-book research is added. Reading, uploading, navigation, and citation inspection do not consume AI credits. Limits may change prospectively with reasonable notice, but not retroactively within a paid period where prohibited by law.

AI limitations

AI answers can be incomplete or incorrect even when citations are supplied. Check the cited source passages and do not rely on the service for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other professional decisions. Spoiler controls reduce unintended disclosure but cannot guarantee that every generated inference will feel spoiler-free to every reader.

Suspension and ending access

You may cancel renewal at any time through the billing portal. Unless applicable law or the refund policy requires otherwise, cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues through the paid period. Access may be limited or suspended for nonpayment, material breach, abuse, security risk, or legal necessity.

You can delete individual books in the library. To request deletion of your account and associated application data, email support.meaningsawake@gmail.com. Some billing, security, and legal records may be retained where required.

Consumer rights and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Nothing in them excludes or limits mandatory consumer, privacy, refund, or other rights that apply where you live, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any dispute may be brought before the courts or authorities competent under applicable mandatory law.

The service is provided with reasonable care, but internet and AI services may occasionally be unavailable or produce errors. Before beginning a formal dispute, please contact support.meaningsawake@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue promptly.
